Unique artisanal textures
" Annemie creates unique artisanal textures, often used for stand-alone artwork or digitally printed by numerous companies and designers from home and abroad.
For designers, interior architects, printers
As a 'surface designer' she works for architects, interior designers, printers, engravers and manufacturers of floors, doors, wallpaper, fabrics, splashbacks, kitchen worktops, wall and furniture panels, wall art and even car dashboards. Ultimately, her creations end up in private homes, hotels, restaurants, offices, etc.
She mainly works on a project basis. That starts with making a mood board as a guideline. On the basis of those colors, textures, materials, atmospheric images, etc. she makes her exclusive designs, tailor-made.
These designs consist of clay, paper, wood, fabric, paint and even soil or coffee. Everything can serve to create a new design. Re-using materials, giving materials a second life, 'up-cycling' in its purest form, this gives the design character and imperfection and from this the most beautiful developments arise.
Large format lay-outs, color separations, color variants, print-ready files
The best samples are produced in large format, can be up to 2x2 meter or larger, then digitized in full size. These scans are edited on the computer. Further in the process she also makes a layout, color separations, digital color studies and ultimately deliver print-ready files.
Visuals (2D renders/mock-ups) of interior simulations
Annemie also make visuals (2D renders/mock-ups) during the design process: placing designs digitally on interior photos to test how large the layout of a design should be, which colors fit best in an interior. Her renders are also used as a sales, marketing and publicity tool, because that way brands can work ahead and don't have to wait to see the result in an interior until the material is actually produced. “
“ My job is my passion and I take on every new assignment and every challenge with great pleasure. "
